Frequently asked questions

Why is pressure washing important?

Pressure washing is important because it extends the lifespan of what is being cleaned. Algae, moss, lichen, and debris buildup can wreak havoc on your roof, concrete, and wood. It speeds up the corrosion process and in some cases can be a safety or health hazard.

What PSI is the best and what do you use?

The best PSI will vary depending on the pressure washing job. For instance it’s not good to use the same high pressure on wood as we would on concrete. So there isn’t really a “best” PSI.

We use a 4,400PSI system with a control valve that lets us release anywhere between 100-4400PSI. We also have a variety of nozzles and attachments that can release the pressure across different surface areas to ensure a proper clean every time.

Why is pressure washing better than hosing off?

Pressure washing is better due to the high PSI. Having much higher PSI than the average garden hose allows us to get those stubborn buildups that a normal hose wouldn’t be able to remove.

Do I have to prepare anything?

Yes, any large objects. This means removing any vehicles or trailers from your driveway. For any patio/deck chairs, tables, statues, or planters we will move them for you, if necessary, as well as put them back. We will remove and replace any reasonable amount/size of obstacles if needed. If there is something you would like left alone, please communicate that with us.

When is the best time to schedule a wash?

The best time to wash is right now. More so if you are battling moss, lichen, or algae. I suggest annual scheduling for clients in high growth areas.

Is there anything else I should know?

Yes, if washing concrete that has cracks you should know that the high pressure can potentially remove any small, broken chunks. while this isn’t ideal there is a way to turn this to favor your situation. We recommend waiting until the driveway is completely dry then using a concrete or asphalt crack and joint filler. This will help reduce cracking and chipping in the future.
